Our heartfelt condolences are extended to the family of Doris (Conrad) Davies, 84, of Hanover Township, who peacefully passed away at home, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the loving wife of the late Robert “Bob” Davies, who died in 2017, and with whom she shared more than 60 years of marriage.
Born in Harrisburg, Doris was the daughter of the late Joseph and Nora (Sponsler) Conrad. After graduating from Susquehanna High School, she enjoyed working in a number of occupations during her career, including decorating the homes of fraternal organizations as the owner of Collegiate Interiors. She was an avid tennis and bridge player, and loved to entertain friends.
She enjoyed charitable service and volunteered at multiple hospitals, including St. Luke’s, Lehigh Valley-Muhlenberg, and the Allentown State Hospital. Doris will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen O’Neill, of Palmer Township, and Jodi Schnalzer of Bethlehem; four granddaughters, Lindsay, Molly, Kaitlin, and Marissa; and one great-granddaughter, Aleeyah. Doris was predeceased by her sisters, Ethel Meyers and Helen Conrad.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 13, in the main Sanctuary. A memory tribute may be placed at www.longfuneralhome.com
