2012 EVENTS:

MARCH 2
World Day of Prayer
World Day of Prayer is a worldwide ecumenical movement of Christian women of many traditions who come together to observe a common day of prayer each year. Each year a different country serves as the writer of the World Day of Prayer worship service. For 2012, the World Day of Prayer Committee of Malaysia developed the theme “Let justice prevail!”

All (men and women) are invited to pray and receive prayer! Please join us on March 2, 2012, as we unite together in one heart and one accord to pray for the injustice that is happening in Malaysia and for the injustice that is happening right here in our own backyard.

How can you be a part of this powerful time of prayer?

1. There will be a prayer vigil in the chapel from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Come at anytime to say a prayer or to request a prayer.

2. Come to the special prayer service at 6:30 p.m. as we unite together as one to pray for justice to prevail.

MARCH 6
Networking for Life

Tuesday, March 6, in Room 400.
Refreshments: 6:30 p.m.; speaker: 7–8 p.m.; networking: 9 p.m

The speaker will address questions such as:  How, specifically, do recruiters find candidates using social media? What is seen as a positive and what is seen as a negative in someone’s social presence? How do you know what “key words” will make you more likely to be found by a recruiter? How can you develop ongoing relationships with recruiters in your industry and target companies? This presentation is relevant for those who are actively seeking new opportunities, and those who are employed and want attract the best employees.

Topic: Using Social Media to Find the Best Jobs and Best Employees
