Older adults come together to move, strengthen muscles with a resistance band, engage in core work and balance training.
The older adult fitness class has involved women coming together to exercise in a way that meets the needs of their age. We warm up and then engage in dynamic stretching followed by a variety of work on their resistance bands, gliders, chair work, or wall push ups to engage a variety of muscles. We intersperse cardio and balance practice in with their strength exercises and finish with a cool down and stretch period.
