Young People's Philharmonic Concert at FPCB

YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED TO A CONCERT BY THE YOUNG PEOPLE’S PHILHARMONIC in our Fellowship Hall.  The YPP rehearses in our Fellowship Hall every Tuesday night-–and their partner ensemble, the JUNIOR STRING PHILHARMONIC-–rehearses in the Rotunda of the Kirk Center. With our children’s and youth choirs, that means that more than 150 gifted young musicians are rehearsing in our buildings every Tuesday-–what a ministry this Church provides to these gifted and growing young people!

The concert will be held from 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, 19 April.  The YPP, a full symphonic orchestra,  is made up of nearly eighty-five amazing high school musicians hailing from all parts of the Lehigh Valley and beyond. They are conducted by Kenneth Bean, also a gifted trumpeter, who has played in our worship services many times. Their concert program includes works by Johannes Brahms, Dmitri Shostakovich, and  a movement of the Schumann Cello Concerto play by the winner of their concerto competition, Caleb Doucette.  This concert is free, our children’s and youth choirs will be attending, and all are welcome.  Come, and bring a friend–-support these young musicians as they continue to strive to develop the gifts God gave them and His incredible gift of MUSIC to us all!
