DISCIPLESHIP FOR WOMEN

Several ongoing groups contribute to this ministry in the life of our church:

Presbyterian Women - This fellowship of women offers monthly and seasonal meetings throughout the year. Circle groups (small groups) meet the first Thursday of the month and are available morning, afternoon or evening. The focus of the overall organization is faith development through Bible study, fellowship and the support of missions through gifts and service. See below for more information on the next circle meeting. All women are welcome.
For Moms Only - This group of dedicated women meet weekly for fellowship, support and discussion. Their topics of study vary from biblical studies to the particular interests and needs of mothers of young children. Babysitting is provided.
Women's Ministry Team - This coordinating group attempts to bring together the various needs and interests of women of all ages and walks of life. They have sponsored a Women's Conference in the Winter.

CLASSES FOR WOMEN

Stepping Up... a Journey Through the Psalms of Ascent —
A Beth Moore study. Both morning and evening sessions in the Kirk Center: The 7-9 PM. Tuesday evening class runs from June 10 – July 22, and the 9:30-11:30 PM Wednesday morning class runs from June 11– July 23. This seven week study explores Psalms 120-134. In ancient days traveling pilgrims sang these psalms both on the way to the great festivals of the Jews and as key elements of the worship at those festivals. We'll interact with each other and the Scriptures as together we gain a new appreciation for the life of faith as a journey to greater fellowship with and the worship of God. Let's join together as He takes us to the next step! Workbook required. Cost of the book is $20.

Childcare provided for the morning session only. Fee per session is $8 for the first child and $2 for each additional child.

SUNDAYS

A Study in the Book of Acts – Inductive study w/workbook. 10:15–11:30 AM

Our own life will be called into question as we see the dynamics of the earliest church, their fellowship and intensity of prayer life, and their zeal to declare the saving gospel of Jesus Christ.The study of Acts will confirm the power which transformed the disciples’ lives is the same power that can… and will… transform our lives today. Church is no longer a place we go or something we do; we are the church. Let’s build community together.

TUESDAYS

For Moms Only – 9:30–11:30 AM. Join us as we gather together to learn and support each other in raising children. Meetings are Christ-centered and provide moral support, fellowship and fun. Information: Meredith Robbins, 610-838-2406 or mer@robbins.ws.

A Heart Like His: Seeking the Heart of God through a Study of David – Beth Moore video w/workbook. 12:30–2:30 PM. What keeps us from having a heart like God’s? If you’ve ever experienced doubts, temptations, personal inconsistencies and losses, or anguish over family problems, then this study is for you. On this journey with King David, we’ll experience the ups and downs of the shepherd king, and we’ll come to know and love his God in a new way. The basic theme in this 21 week in-depth study is about the best and worst of humanity – and about you in relationship to God.

WEDNESDAYS

A Study of the Gospel of Mark – Inductive Study 9:30–11:00 AM. This book was written to encourage the Christians in Rome and to prove that Jesus is the Messiah. Mark shows us Jesus…….moving, serving, sacrificing and saving. As we dig into the scriptures together and learn at our own pace through study, sharing, and prayer be ready for action, be open for God’s move into your life, and be challenged to move into your world to serve.

A Study in the Book of Acts – Inductive study w/workbook. 7–9 PM. A repeat of the Sunday morning Acts study.

THURSDAYS

Presbyterian Women’s Circles (once a month) – Morning, afternoon and evening Circles meet the first Thursday of each month. For more information call Ann Ainsworth, 610-866-5544. Three special gatherings are held in September, December and May.

Use our great new adult library.
- Expanded hours: Open any time the church is open
- Ease in checking out books: computer with bar scan system can be used anytime (see instructions next to computer). Obtain borrower ID in the library: The ID will be the month and day of your birth + a letter. For example, 0831B is for a person whose birthday is August 31.
